This piece is a beautifully designed & crafted extending teak dining table designed by John Herbert for Younger and retailed through Heals of London, circa 60’s.
Designed as part of their award winning ‘Fonseca’ range this table was produced in relatively low numbers so rarely comes to market.
Featuring solid teak tapered legs with a stunning teak veneered top.
The table extends through a flawless and stylish design of pulling each end out and inserting the extension leaves which are cleverly stored underneath. Once fully extended the table can comfortably seat eight to ten people.
This table is in superb restored condition, the extension leaves match the main top section perfectly.
A stunning table, would make a great addition to any contemporary/vintage/mid-century inspired interior.
Stunning set of eight John Herbert for A. Younger teak dining chairs, circa 60’s. The chairs are made from afromosia wood, with sleek, stylish lines and high quality construction. No breaks or structural issues, the fabric is in overall good condition, but some wear to the corners of two chairs, can easily be reupholstered.
Please Note: The chairs can be sold in equal sets of four, six or eight, or sold as a set with the table. The retail price is for the full set. Please contact us to discuss prices.
